Chinese Class Routines
Part of the Chinese school culture is to pay one’s respect to the teacher.
To practice this custom, one
student will be assigned the role of class leader, “班长(bānzhǎng)”,
before class begins.
The role of 班长 is to give instructions to his/her peers at the beginning and the end of the class.
